1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device so that it can work properly, remember preferences and measure how it is used. Alongside cookies we use similar technologies — tracking pixels and identifiers stored locally in the browser.
The operator of unam.md is the Public Association „Uniunea Asigurătorilor din Republica Moldova”, IDNO 1008600053030, e-mail info@unam.md. Details on the processing of personal data are set out in the Privacy Policy.

The complete and up-to-date list of individual cookies, with the name, provider and lifetime of each, is available in the cookie banner settings panel, accessible at any time through the „Cookie settings” button. That panel is the single source of truth; this policy describes the categories and the rules.

3. Legal basis and how we obtain consent
3.1. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, because the website cannot function without them.
3.2. Statistics and marketing cookies are set only after you have given your consent through the banner displayed on your first visit. Until you make a choice, the tools using them are not initialised and do not transmit data.
3.3. The banner offers equally visible options: accept all, reject all and configure by category. In the configuration panel, the toggles for categories requiring consent are off by default.
3.4. Refusing statistics and marketing cookies does not restrict access to the content of the website and does not prevent you from submitting a question through the form.
3.5. The public description of the categories of data collected through cookies, of your rights and of the procedure for giving and withdrawing consent is provided in accordance with Article 10(2) of Law No. 284/2004 on information society services.

4. How to manage your preferences
  • Through the cookie banner — on your first visit or at any time afterwards, through the „Cookie settings” button. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, in accordance with Article 7(3) of Law No. 195/2024.
  • Through your browser — you can block or delete cookies in the settings of the browser you use (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website works.
  • Through the providers' settings — advertising preferences can be managed directly in your Google and Meta accounts.
Deleting cookies from your browser also deletes the cookie storing your choice, which is why the banner will be displayed again on your next visit.

5. International transfers
The providers of the statistics and promotion tools process data on servers located outside the Republic of Moldova, including in the United States of America. These transfers are carried out in accordance with Articles 44–49 of Law No. 195/2024. Details may be requested at info@unam.md. The full chain of providers involved in the operation of the website is described in clause 5 of the Privacy Policy.

6. Updates
This policy is updated whenever the tools used on the website change. The version in force and the date of the update are shown in the header.
